Obituary

Myrtle Caudill Trent, age 85, of Dry Creek Road, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2007, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born June 6, 1921, in Elliott County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Wales and Ollie Porter Caudill. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wyatt Trent on February 12, 1987; two daughters, Patricia Ann Trent on October 5, 1984, and Ina Chloe Roe on March 3, 1992; one grandson, Mark Barnett on September 21, 1999; and one granddaughter, Karen Trent Kidd on April 26, 2005. She is survived by two sons, Roger Trent of Morehead, Kentucky, and Ronnie Trent of Ypsilanti, Michigan; three daughters, Barbara Sue Trent and Carolyn Barnett of Morehead, Kentucky, and Linda Conley of Georgetown, Kentucky; two brothers, Cleo Caudill of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and James Caudill of Plymouth, Michigan; one sister, Beatrice Kinaschuk of Honor, Michigan; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Trent was a cook at Rowan County High School for four years and was the Dietary Supervisor at Life Care Center for 18 years. She was a senior member of Ditney Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Kendall Trent, R. L. Trent, Jeremy Kidd, Randy Roe, Rob Hanson, and Christian Elrod. Honorary pallbearers will be Wendall Trent, Dewayne Adkins, Dennis Conn, Tyler Barnett, J. D. Barnett, and Coleman Callaway. Visitation is Monday, May 14, 2007, after 7 p.m.; anytime Tuesday, May 15, 2007; and before the service on Wednesday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Monday, May 14, 2007, after 7 p.m. and anytime Tuesday Funeral: Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at 2 p.m. Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
