Myrl Holbrook Stafford, age 90, of Open Fork Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, May 7, 2007, at her residence. She was born December 18, 1916, in Elliott County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Crecy Holbrook. Myrl was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Stafford in 1989; two sons, Haskell Lee Stafford and Charles Stafford; three daughters, Della Jean Stafford, Dixie Pennington, and Patricia Lynn Stafford; and two sisters, Annabelle Jones and Opal Flannery. She is survived by six daughters, Lucille Barber of South Shore, Kentucky, Dolly Burton of Grayson, Kentucky, Lola Hampton of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Shirley Howard and Helen Crum of Morehead, Kentucky, and Paula Stafford of Salt Lick, Kentucky, and a special friend, Janet Cassell. Other survivors include two brothers, Haskell Holbrook and Gene Holbrook of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; one sister, Lola Whitt of Stark, Kentucky; 21 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Stafford was a homemaker and of the Apostolic Faith. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Tom Ginter officiating; burial will follow in the Boggs Cemetery in Elliott County. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Tuesday, May 8, 2007, after 6 p.m. Funeral: Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at 1 p.m. Interment: Boggs Cemetery in Elliott County, KY
