Obituary

Murvel Ray Black, age 58, of Trent Ridge, Morehead, went to be with Jesus and his devoted mother, who lovingly cared for him, on January 16, 2016, at his home. Born April 4, 1957, in Morehead, he was a son of the late Ocie and Arazona Trent Black. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin Glen Black. Murvel is survived by two brothers, Virgil (Connie Sue) Black and Lyndon (Sherry) Black, all of Morehead; four sisters, Wilda Crose of Morehead, Susan Black and special friend Ray McClurg of Clearfield, Violet (Arnold) Ison of Morehead, and Geneva (Daven) Young of Morehead; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends. Murvel loved his family and friends, spending time outdoors, feeding the birds, gardening, cutting wood and riding his 4-wheeler and mini bike. He brought joy to so many people's lives and will be lovingly remembered for his wonderful smile and warm hugs. He was a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle of Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Larry Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Trent-Black Cemetery. Pallbearers: Brian Fuoss, Raymond McClurg, Ethan Black, Nathan Black, Steven Crose, Joey Crose, Brandon Crose, and Joshua Ison. Visitation is Monday, January 18, 2016, from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
