Morgan Christopher Cooper, age 38, of Wildridge Road, Morehead, departed this life Thursday, December 29, 2022, at his residence.

Born September 18, 1984, in Morehead, Morgan is the son of Gloria "Ginger" Combs Cooper and the late Walter Douglas Coooper.  Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ryan Douglas Cooper.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his two children, Annon Douglas Cooper and Valen Ava Mae Cooper, both of Morehead; the mother of his children, Nola Mae Anne Caskey Cooper; his companion, Heather Jenkins; and extended family and friends.

Morgan served four years in the National Guard and assisted during Hurricane Katrina. He was currently an employee of Spectrum. He was a 2003 graduate of Rowan County Senior High School and attended Rowan Technical College and Morehead State University.

Morgan loved animals of all kinds, stopping to rescue snakes and turtles. He also enjoyed drawing, reading, video gaming, and playing the guitar.

There will be no visitation and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
