Obituary

Millie Hall Binion, age 63, of Hemlock View Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at the U. K. Medical Center in Lexington. Born July 11, 1951, in Knott County, she was a daughter of the late Ishmael and Effie Mullins Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters and her beloved poodle of 16 years, Buttons. Millie is survived by her husband of 29 years, Chester Binion, whom she married July 29, 1985; two sons, Jeremy Brewer of Flemingsburg and Todd Binion and wife Lisa of Beattyville; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, Ishmael Hall, Jr., Clifford Hall, and Denver Hall, all of Morehead, and James Hall of Mansfield, Ohio; two sisters, Jackie Hicks of Michigan and Geneva Hall of Cynthiana; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends. Millie was a Knott County High School graduate and received her bachelor's degree and master's degree from Morehead State University. A teacher for 27 years, she retired from Rodburn Elementary School in Morehead. Millie enjoyed working in her flowers, bird watching, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Ishmael Hall, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Carroll Cemetery in Grahn. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Friday, April 3, 2015, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, April 4, 2015, at 11 a.m. Interment: Carroll Cemetery in Grahn
