Milford Patrick Egan, age 86, of Cranston Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 3, 2009, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born May 4, 1923, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late George Washington Egan and Sarah Frances Caudill Egan. He was also preceded in death by four siblings, Lyda and Virgil Egan, Irene Anderson, and Eva Littleton. One son, Donnie Joe Egan, passed away on November 26, 1994. Milford is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Waltz Egan, whom he married May 18, 1946; one daughter, Patti (Mike) Sibert of Batavia, Ohio; one sister, Flora Fraley of Morehead, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Shannon (Rob) Rash and Sarah Sibert; and two great grandchildren, Mikayla and Maddox Rash. Milford served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was an employee of Cowden Manufacturing for 30 years, and a lifelong farmer. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Don Evans and the Rev. Elijah Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Cranston Cemetery with full military rites conducted by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers will be Rick Waltz, Tony Waltz, Steve Littleton, Marty Littleton, Randy Waltz, Eddie Waltz, Mike Caudill, Greg Coss, and Harold Adkins. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
