Mildred Jean Walton Staton, age 78, of Morehead, KY, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Saint Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead after an extended illness. Mildred was born December 21, 1938, in Menifee County, KY, to the late Ray and Bertha Collinsworth Walton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Danny Ray Staton, who passed away June 22, 1986. Mildred is survived by her husband of 63 years, Audrey Staton; two sons, Edward Staton and wife Arnetta, Audrey Staton, Jr. and wife Kimberly; two daughters, Teresa Fultz and husband Tim, all of Morehead, KY, and Tammy Roberts and husband Jimmy of Georgetown, KY; nine grandchildren, April Ratliff (Charlie), Tessa Thomas (Jason), Brent Staton (Janessa), Andrew Reynolds (Tabatha), Justin Reynolds (Heather), LeTerra Wallace (Nathan), Ryan Howard, Davin Bell, and Danielle Staton; 12 great grandchildren; three brothers, Bobby Walton of Franklin, OH, Denzil Walton of West Liberty, KY, and Archie Walton of Hope, KY; three sisters, Sylvia McKenzie of Miamisburg, OH, Roberta Madden of Whitehouse, KY, Joyce Whitt of West Liberty, KY; and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family who will sadly miss her. Mildred delivered mail to the residents of Menifee County from 1960 until 1973 and was the owner of Salt Lick Consignment Shop for 17 years. She enjoyed singing and spending time with her family. She volunteered at the West Liberty Nursing Home singing each Monday to the residents. She attended Charity Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rob Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in the Ginter Cemetery in Menifee County. Pallbearers: Andrew Reynolds, Justin Reynolds, Brent Staton, Ryan Howard, Billy Walton, Chris Whitt.
