Obituary

Michael Lee Stevens, age 39, of Highway 60 East, Morehead, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015, at his residence. Born April 7, 1976, in Rowan County, Mike is the only child of Marty Wheeler Stevens and Lois Ann Conn Stevens of Morehead. Besides his parents, he is survived by two sons, Dylan Michael Stevens and Jagger Stevens, both of Morehead; his fiancée, Tina Tackett of Morehead; four uncles, Melvin Stevens and his wife Wilma of Morehead, Darrell Conn, Randall Conn and Harvey Conn and wife Debra, all of Carter County; three aunts, Sharlene Blanton and husband Donald , Lillie Gambill and husband Bob, all of Circleville, Ohio, and Pamela Slone and husband Donald of Morehead; and maternal grandmother, Ruth Roe Conn of Carter County. Mike was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Arthur Conn of Carter County, and paternal grandparents, Lee Stevens and Bunny Thompson of Morehead. Mike graduated from Rowan County High School in 1994 and was the owner of Lying Lee's Used Cars. He enjoyed driving dirt track race cars, 4-wheeling, fishing and hunting, and was an avid U.K. and Cincinnati Bengals fan. He was raised in the Jehovah Witness faith. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Markus Giese officiating. Burial will follow in Conn Cemetery on Dry Branch in Carter County. Pallbearers: Mark Stevens, Jeff Williams, Matthew Stevens, Darrell Conn, Paul Henderson, Brandon Conn, Bobby Joe Porter, and Randall Conn Honorary pallbearers: Dylan Stevens, Brent Conn, Kevin Conn, Phillip M. Fraley, and Steve Bokeno Visitation is 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
