Michael Wayne Johnson, age 49, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

He was born January 18, 1971, in Morehead, Kentucky, a son of the late Charles Richard Johnson and Ida Lee Mauk Johnson.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Richard Johnson III and Joseph Lee Johnson, and one sister, Oleta Marie Whisman.

He is survived by three children, Michael Montana Johnson of Ashland, Kentucky, Sarah Marie Pendleton of Newport, Kentucky, and Autumn Johnson of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; his wife, Deidra Schmauch Johnson of Ashland, Kentucky; three sisters, Elizabeth Fouch of Morehead, Kentucky, Katie Johnson of Greenup, Kentucky, and Linda Gail Johnson of Huntington, West Virginia; and twin brothers, Damon and Dallas Johnson, both of Flatwoods, Kentucky.

Michael was a former telecommunications lineman.  He enjoyed attending dirt track racing and had many fond memories of growing up in the Grayson Lake area.  He attended Princess Chapel Church in Ashland.

A private family celebration of life and interment in the Frederick B. Mauk Cemetery in Elliott County will be held.
