Obituary

Michael Lynn Howard, age 60, of Highway 711,West Liberty, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011. He was born January 10, 1951, in Elliott County, Kentucky, and is the son of Dorothy Collins Howard of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, and the late Linville Howard. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sons, Steve and Wayne Howard. In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by his wife, Glenda Easterling Howard, whom he married May 5, 2001; two daughters, Debra Bellin of New London, Wisconsin, and Stephanie -Janie- Adkins of Sandy Hook; two sons, Lee Hampton of West Liberty and Nathan Easterling of Tacoma, Washington; and 10 grandchildren, Amanda Adkins, Savannah Adkins, Andrea Adkins, Logan Adkins, Dwayne Bellin, Sabrina Bellin, Sheila Hampton, Brandon Hampton, Nate Easterling, and Hannah Easterling. Also surviving are two brothers, Racy Howard of Springfield, Ohio, and Rodney Howard of Sandy Hook; two sisters, Linda Kitchen of Sandy Hook and Angie Pendergrass of Morehead; and several nieces and nephews. Michael was a former heavy equipment operator and night watchman for Cave Run Stone and attended Oak Hill Church of God. He enjoyed fishing, raising Beagles, and spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Herbert D. Lewis officiating and Angie Pendergrass reading the obituary and providing family memories. Burial will follow in Blair Cemetery at Blairs Mill. Pallbearers were Samuel Howard, Tracy Kitchen, James Kitchen, Gillespie Litton, Ford Howard, Larry Easterling, Tony Kidd, and Lee Hampton. Visitation was after 4 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky. Visitation: Saturday, January 15, 2011, after 4 p.m. Funeral: Sunday, January 16, 2011, at 2 p.m. Interment: Blair Cemetery at Blairs Mill
