Michael James Adkins, age 37, of U.S. 60 West, Morehead, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2007, at his residence. He was born November 24, 1970, in Xenia, Ohio, and is the son of James Adkins of Fairborn, Ohio, and Patty Eldridge Ratliff of Morehead. He is also survived by his wife, Stephanie Nicole Shearer Adkins of Dayton, Ohio; one son, Jonathan Adkins of Tennessee; three sisters, Diane Estep of Morehead, Kristy Moore of Sandy Hook, and Melissa Adkins of Morehead; two nieces, two nephews; and a host of other family and friends. One son, Dillon Michael Adkins, preceded him in death. Mikey was of the Baptist faith and was baptized in 1977 at Newcombe Valley Church in Isonville, Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jesse Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott County Memory Gardens in Sandy Hook. Pallbearers will be Josh Carpenter, Aaron Moore, Tim Carpenter, Russell Tolson, Anthony Leadingham, and Billy Moore.
