Mescal Dillon Gray Fraley, age 90, of KY Hwy 173, Morehead, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014. She was born July 28, 1923, in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Daca 'Dock' and Martha Forest Dillon. Besides her parents, her six brothers preceded her in death, Lincle and Sherman Evans, and Difford, Otto, Eugene, and Edward Dillon. Mescal was also preceded in death by her husbands, Charlie Gray in 1985 and Randolph Fraley in 1992; a son, Eldon Gray in 1989; and a daughter, June Gray Riley in 2008. She is survived by her son, Adriel Gray and his wife Darlene of Morehead; a stepson, Don Sorrell and his wife 'Key' of Michigan; a son-in-law, Terry Riley of Virginia; seven grandchildren, T. R. Riley, Rose Riley, Andrea Riley, Floyd Gray, Beth Ann Conover, Tabatha Gray-Powell, Todd David Gray; a step grandson, Richard Burke; four great grandchildren, Caleb Eldon Jones, Hannah Conover, Michael Gray, and Addie Gray; one step great grandson, Taylor Burke; and one step great-great grandson, Zeb Burke. Other survivors include Ruth Ann Stevens, many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mescal retired from Morehead State University after 25 years of service. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a Sunday school teacher for 25 years. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Arnold Ison and Mike Atkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Gray Cemetery in Elliott County. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Thursday, March 6, 2014, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Funeral: Friday, March 7, 2014, at 1 p.m. Interment: Gray Cemetery, Elliott County
