A beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, Megan Ann Hunter, passed unexpectedly at 24 on December 7, 2023.

Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, on June 2, 1999, to Walt and Dee Hunter, Megan joined her brother, Brandon Hunter. Megan grew up in Chesterfield, Virginia, attending Winterpock Elementary School, Millwood School and Trinity Episcopal High School. She attended University of North Carolina at Pembroke for College.

Megan's life was all about swimming beginning at the age of 5. She was part of the Quest swim team family and continued that pursuit at UNC-P as a division 2 swimmer. We will always remember her smile and sarcastic but caring personality.  Her presence will be sorely missed in our lives.

When you think of Megan, celebrate the good memories you have with her. Remember life is fragile and short and should be lived to its fullest. Megan was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pat and Dana Greenfield and Walt Sr. and Susan Hunter. Her god father and Uncle Richard Greenfield also preceded her in death. She leaves behind her parents and brother Brandon and countless cousins in Delaware and New Jersey.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 12 noon with her cousin, the Reverend Jay Fulton, presiding. The service will be live streamed at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Facebook page beginning at 12 noon. Following the service, Megan will be laid to rest alongside her grandparents, Dana and Pat Greenfield at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Flemingsburg Road, Morehead.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. prior to Megan's service on Saturday at Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
