Obituary

Maxine Adkins Leadingham, age 74, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014, at her residence. She was born July 15, 1939, in Elliott County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Zettie and Molly Ball Adkins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Herman Adkins; two sisters, Myrtle Kazee and Gertrude Gilliam; and one granddaughter, Samantha Dawn Baber, who passed away on January 7, 2006. She is survived by two sons, Chris Leadingham of Morehead and Gregory Stevens of Sandy Hook; two daughters, Tena Flannery and husband Duane of Morehead and Teresa Baber and husband David of Wallingford; two grandchildren, Daniel Flannery and Darian Blevins; and two brothers, Henry Adkins of Pompano Beach, Florida, and Denvil Adkins of Grayson. Maxine retired after 28 years as shipping and receiving clerk for Sealmaster. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family. A celebration of life will be conducted 7 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with family officiating. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Ronald McDonald House of Greater Cincinnati, 350 Erkenbrecher Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229. Visitation: Saturday, March 15, 2014, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 7 p.m.
