Maxine Bailey Davis, age 76, of Old Elam Road, West Liberty, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015, at U. K. Medical Center in Lexington. Born October 17, 1938, in Salyersville, she was a daughter of the late Lee Ander and Edna Ray Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Arbie Bailey, William Bailey, Roland Bailey, and Wardie Bailey, and four sisters, Ethel Mae Higgins, Elouise Cable, Vonda Davis, and Ruby Bailey. Her husband of 37 years, Andrew Davis, preceded her in death in 1995. She is survived by eight sons, Johnny Davis and Shane Davis, both of Oklahoma, Darrel Davis of Lima, Ohio, Rev. William Davis, Noah Davis, Rev. Terry Davis, Andrew Davis, and Paul Davis, all of West Liberty; two sisters, Jewell King of Salyersville and Sylvie Mullins of West Liberty; 19 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Maxine was a homemaker and member of the Lytten Apostolic Church since 1988. She was a very dedicated and hard worker who loved going to church. Maxine was a very loving mother and grandmother whose favorite pastimes were reading her Bible and fishing. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015, at Lytten Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ with the Rev. Terry Davis officiating. Burial will follow in West Liberty Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Andrew Davis, Paul Davis, Noah Davis, Benjamin Davis, Nathan Davis, and Matthew Davis. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
