Mavery Adkins Kidd Vance, age 82, of McCullough Court, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. She was born June 6, 1930, in Morgan County, Kentucky, and was daughter of the late Tony and Margaret Elizabeth Hutchinson Adkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dessie Adkins Charles on February 16, 2011. Mavery is survived by one son, Ronnie Michael Kidd of Heath, Ohio; one daughter in law, Sara Kidd of Morehead, Kentucky; one brother, Raymond Adkins and his wife Garnet of Morehead, Kentucky; two grandsons, Gabriel and Jeremy Kidd; three great grandsons, Owen and Parker Kidd and Jason Miller; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Mavery was a retired cook at the Clearfield Elementary School serving over 20 years and a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, making crafts, and loved spending time with her family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bruce Adkins, Dale Adkins, Jeremy Kidd, Wayne Ferguson, Donald Bowman and Martel Brents. Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
