Obituary

Maudie Ann Trent Wallace, age 80, of Owens Road, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 7, 2011, at the U.K. Markey Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Born November 7, 1930, at Stark, Kentucky, in Elliott County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Zora and Vada Skaggs Trent. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Beauford Trent, J. C. Trent, and Travis Edwin Trent. Mrs. Wallace is survived by two sons, Randall -Randy- Wallace of Morehead, Kentucky, and Danny Lane Wallace and his wife Lisa of Winter Haven, Florida; three grandchildren, Dylan Wallace, Daniel Wallace, Randi Wallace; and one great grandchild, Landen Elliott. Other survivors include two brothers, Nelson Trent of Jacksonville, Florida, and Odice Trent of Morehead, Kentucky; two sisters, Martha Weddington of Elliott County, Kentucky, and Darlene Webb of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wallace, who was self-employed, was well known throughout the region for her work in upholstery and as a seamstress. She was a member of the New Home Christian Church. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. H. G. Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in the Trent-Black Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Trent, T. J. Trent, Eugene Trent, Dylan Wallace, Albert Elliott, Jimmy Trent, and Bobby Hardin. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Wednesday, March 9 2011, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Thursday, March 10, 2011, at 1 p.m. Interment: Trent-Black Cemetery
