Matthew William Smith, age 40, of Paris Lane, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. He was born March 30, 1970, in Piqua, Ohio, and was the son of the late Debra Kay Smith Wick. Matthew is survived by his wife, Jenny Mabry Smith; three sons, Lance Smith, Bret Smith, and McKinnley Smith, all at home; his grandmother, Ruth V. Smith of Piqua, Ohio; and many other family members and friends. Matthew was a former security guard in Piqua, Ohio, and attended the Sharkey Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching Steelers football and spending time with his family. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. James Hickerson officiating.
