Matthew Carmen Totich (Lil Pope), age 46, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2008, at his residence. Born September 23, 1961, in Kearney, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Matthew and Frances Catena Totich. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his uncle, George Totich. Matthew is survived by two sisters: Donna Fossett, his twin, and Laura Skaggs, both of Morehead and six nieces and nephews: Daniel Totich, Nicole Skaggs, Marrianne Skaggs, Emily Skaggs, Katie Fossett, and Matthew Fossett. A 1980 graduate of Rowan County Senior High School, Matthew was a member of the football team. He graduated from Morehead State University in 1987, where he was a cheerleader and member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. He was Catholic. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a memorial service to be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bill Buelterman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hope Center, Attention Heather Mitchell, P. O. Box 6, Lexington, KY 40588.
