Mary Ruth Marie Workman Burton, age 61, of Shelby, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at UK- St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead, Kentucky, with her son Brian “Yabo” by her side. Mary was born August 1, 1964, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to the late Walter Irvin Workman, Sr. and Mary Phyllis Frost Hubbard

Mary enjoyed collecting anything nautical, boats, anchors, she loved lighthouses. One of her favorite things to do was riding the ferry boat over to Put-In-Bay with her family and friends. Her happy place was being at her camper at Clearfork where she loved all of her camper families, especially Pam and Dan, the monthly cookouts, and sitting around the fire. Most importantly to her was her family, especially her grandkids whom was her life, along with her beloved fur baby Pebbles. Mary was a generous person, always trying to help in any way. Her heart was full for anyone she knew and anyone who knew her she considered family. She will forever be missed.

 She is survived by her son, Brian C. Webb( Tiffany) of Morehead, Kentucky; two stepdaughters, Amy Burton of Shelby Ohio, and Lisa Burton of Shelby, Ohio; her stepmother, Aletha Workman of Amity; three sisters, Amanda Caroll (Greg) of Shelby Ohio, Sherry Edwards (David) of Fredericktown, Ohio, and Becky Marvin of Fredericktown, Ohio; five brothers Walter Irvin Workman, Jr. of Jelloway, Ohio, Clyde (Debby) Marvin of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Donald Marvin of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Harvey Workman of Newark, Ohio, and Chris (Vicki) Workman of Howard, Ohio; five precious grandbabies, Tiffaney Webb, Brian Webb, Cheyenne Burton, Kheira (KK) McClanahan, and Owen Mason; also her lifelong friends and like sisters, Starla Smith and Hope “Valerie” Kitts; and her beloved fur Baby Pebbles Magoo. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Burton, Jr.; her father, Walter Irvin Workman, Sr.; her mother, Mary Phyllis Hubbard; her son, David Lee Webb, two brothers, Terry Marvin and Joseph Edward Workman, her lifelong friend and like a sister, Betsy Boyd, and her beloved fur babies, Marlin and Baby Girl.

There will be no funeral services at this time. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
