Mary Jo Thornsbury Blankenship Coyle, age 65, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at her residence. Born July 14, 1950, in Halo, she was a daughter of the late Elisha and Dorothy Bolen Thornsbury. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny Brewster and Philip Thornsbury, and one sister, Christina Wasden. Her husband, James Blankenship, also preceded her in death on December 7, 1996. Mary Jo is survived by three daughters, Shannon McCreadie and husband Bruce of Lexington, Tammy Sparks of Lexington, and Paula Johnson and husband Ron of Georgetown; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are six brothers, Bud, Michael, and Brian Brewster, Jobe, Doug, and David Thornsbury; six sisters, Faye Donovant, Georgia Gibson, Katrina Skaggs, Serena Anderson, Dixie Thornsbury, and Madonnia Moore; sister-in-law, Linda Blankenship Mullins; and several nieces and nephews. Mary Jo retired form Molding Solutions after 15 years of service. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Stanley Rigsby officiating. Burial will follow in Blankenship-Moore Cemetery in Blaze. Family will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
