Mary Ann Staggs Byrd, age 57, of Christy Creek Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017, at her residence. Born February 6, 1960, in Lexington, she is the daughter of Bernice Thomas Staggs of Morehead and the late Richard (Dick) Staggs. In addition to her mother, Mary Ann is survived by one daughter, Jessica Dawn Wilson of Morehead; one son, Jonathan Norris of Palmyra, Virginia; four grandchildren, Nevaeh Wilson, Kylen Wilson, Caty Wilson, Bryx Wilson and their father, Dennis Kyle Wilson. She was preceded in death by her father; one son, Jesse Joe Caudill; and one brother, Rick Spencer Staggs. Mary Ann graduated from University Breckinridge and Morehead State University. She was a loving mother, wonderful grandmother and caring daughter. She enjoyed visiting with family and dear friends and was totally immersed in her newfound interest, herbal crafting. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
