Mary Lena Roe Riley, 84, of Morehead, KY, passed away peacefully Monday, March 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving children.

Mary was born September 19, 1940, in Elliott County, KY, to Jess and Beulah Porter Roe.  Mary attended Johnson First Church of God in Morehead, KY.  Mary and her husband, Clifford, were devout Christians and traveled to various churches to sing.  Their love for God was the center of their home.  Mary dedicated her life to raising her seven children and many grandchildren, teaching them about the love of God.  Mary enjoyed singing, cooking, flowers and family gatherings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her faithful husband of 54 years, Clifford Riley, and by brothers Wayne Roe, Beecher Roe (Elsa), Lawrence "Fat" Roe (Darlene), Charles Roe (Kim) and sisters Bertha Perry (Joe), and Velma Conn (Eugene).

She is survived by seven children, Ronald (Cathy) Riley, Donna (Joe) Calvert, Connie (Jeff) Kissick, Debra (Charles) McDaniel, Brenda Porter, Veronica (Randy) Norwood, and Kimberly (Greg) Wilcox all of Morehead, KY.  In addition, she is survived by five grandchildren, Brandon Kissick, Kelli (Scott) Besselman, Sean Porter, Dalton Roe, and Jacob Dowdy and by several great-grandchildren, sisters Polly Reynolds of Morehead, KY, and Rejeanna Conley of Mansfield, Ohio, and brother Tex Roe (Karen) of Grayson, KY and special caregivers, Melany Workman and Brittany Crowe.

Mary will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and others whose lives she touched on her earthly journey.

Visitation will be held at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ben Furman and Pastor Andy Lands officiating.

Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Sean Porter, Dalton Roe, Brandon Kissick, Jacob Dowdy, Wesley Besselman, and Gustav Reinhardt.
