Mary Aileen Reynolds Purnell, age 59, of Wright Road, Salt Lick, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born February 17, 1960, in Springfield, Ohio, she is the daughter of Betty Pelfrey Reynolds of Salt Lick and the late Tott Reynolds.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Samantha Jane Purnell of Clearfield; one son, Earnest Tott Purnell of Morehead; and one granddaughter, Tiffany LaRae Purnell of Salt Lick.

She also leaves behind five sisters, Dottie Romans of Salt Lick, Donna (Glen) Moore, Joy (David) Shy, Barbara (Junior) Romans, all of Farmers, and Debbie Reynolds of Salt Lick; one half sister, Shirley Gollihue of New Castle, Indiana, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her father; one grandson, Jamison DeWayne Hale; one granddaughter, Addaleighn Faith Purnell; and one sister, Jane Reynolds.

Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed being with family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Caldwell officiating.

Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
