Mary Irene Meade Bunch, age 87, of Patties Lick, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 23, 2011, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Born May 22, 1924, in Carter County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late James and Hattie Greenhill Meade. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Earshel Lee Marshall, in 1973; her second husband, Joseph Bunch, in 1991; one son, James Fisher; three brothers, Joe Meade, Junior Meade, and Gene Meade; and one sister, Marie Branham. Mrs. Bunch is survived by one son, Gaylon Lee Marshall and wife Catherine of Waxahachie, Texas; one brother, Norman Meade of Ashland, Kentucky; two sisters, Pauline Holbrook of Grahn, Kentucky, and Ann Manix of Carter City, Kentucky; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mary was a former employee of Cowden-s in Olive Hill and had been a cook at Morehead State University. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and cooking and was a member of the Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gayle Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhill Cemetery at Ben-s Run in Carter County. Pallbearers: Paul Conn, Brian Conn, Dustin Bruster, Calvin Conn, Jason Davis, and Jason Brewster.
