Mary Jane Jennings Harris Mauk, age 88, of Rock Hill Road, Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012, at her residence. She was born September 30, 1924, in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Harrison and Maudie B. Day Jennings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Delmas Harris, and her second husband, Langley Roosevelt Mauk; two brothers, Grover Jennings and Clinton Jennings; and two sisters, Goldie Sexton and Bertha Vance. She is survived by six children, Joyce (Ernie)Warman of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Helen (James) Donathan of Morehead, Kentucky, Lloyd (Naomi) Harris of West Liberty, Kentucky, Ronnie Harris of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Douglas (Brenda) Harris of Clearfield, Kentucky, and Gary Harris of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one brother, Dorsie Jennings of Morehead, Kentucky; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson. Also surviving are ten stepchildren, Colleen Reed, Betty Hall, Franklin (Donna) Mauk, Delmas (Kay) Mauk, and Delphia (Eugene) Plank, all of Morehead, Kentucky; Laura Skaggs and Kathy (Kenneth) Holbrook, all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; Ida Pennington of Ashland, Kentucky, Virgie Littleton of Hillsboro, Kentucky, Mary Ann (Willie) Littleton of Frenchburg, Kentucky; and numerous extended family members and friends. Mrs. Mauk was a former employee of the U.S. Forest Service, a caregiver and tax preparer. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in the Jennings Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Franklin Mauk, Delmas Mauk, Fred Littleton, Shane Mauk, Shelby Mauk, and Scotty Harris. Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky.
