Mary Ellen Bowman Cundiff, age 95, of Dry Creek Road, Clearfield, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014, at her home. Born October 24, 1918, in Morgan County, she was a daughter of the late Matt and Rebecca Hoskins Bowman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers. Mary's husband of 54 years, Arnold Cundiff, passed away August 11, 1990. Also, two grandsons, Willie Jent and Garrison Todd Cundiff; one granddaughter, Anita Kay Davis; and one great-great grandson, Tyler Cundiff, preceded her in death. Mrs. Cundiff is survived by three daughters, Carol Graham of Clearfield, Norma Jean Logan and husband Leroy and Teresa Lynn Caudill and husband Henry, Jr., all of Morehead; four sons, Vernon Cundiff and wife Doris of Monroe, Georgia, Carl Cundiff and wife Sadie of Morehead, Larry Cundiff and wife Sue of Clearfield, and Curt Cundiff and wife Janie of Morehead; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren. Other survivors include one sister, Leona Linderman of Princeton, New Jersey; one brother, Zay Bowman of Clearfield; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, including special neighbors, Eugene Lambert and Loreda Hall. Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a Christian and attended Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God for over 50 years. She was a homemaker and worked at GTE for many years. Her greatest joy was her love for her Heavenly Father, family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Max Molihan and Rev. Gary McQuain officiating. Burial will follow in Clearfield Cemetery. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
