Marvin Hamilton, age 62, of Bullfork Road, Morehead, passed away Friday, December 5, 2020, at his home surrounded by family.

Born October 17, 1958, in Pike County, he is the son of Clifford Hamilton of Morehead and the late Minnie Belle Bartley Hamilton.  In addition to his mother, Marvin was preceded in death by one grandson, Cash Cornett; one sister, Mamie Carroll; and one brother, Danny Hamilton.

In addition to his father, Marvin is survived by his wife of 42 years, Opal Collins Hamilton; two daughters, Tulissa Smith (and husband Michael), Tara Cornett (and husband John), all of Morehead, and six grandchildren, Mikale Ann Smith, Josiah Smith, Isabella Smith, Brayden Cornett, Jase Cornett, and Memphis Cornett.

Other survivors include one sister, Janice Hamilton of Morehead, as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Marvin was a former coal miner in Pike County.  He enjoyed gardening, singing, and playing Classic Rock, Bluegrass, and Country music.  He was a gifted singer and could play many different instruments.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved spoiling his grandchildren.  He will be greatly missed and remembered always.

Private services will be held Monday, December 7, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Johnny Hamilton and Brother Ledis Hamilton officiating.  Burial will follow in the Markwell Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Danny Hamilton, Redgia McMillan, James Weddington, J. L. Weddington, Brandon Weddington, and Tony Cundiff.
