Marlene Faye Williams Sergent, age 71, of Seas Branch, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013, at her residence. Born September 29, 1941, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of Will Emory Williams, who passed away November 17, 1986, and Mildred F. Christian Williams, who passed away March 7, 2012. Marlene's husband, Adrian Sergent, preceded her in death on April 16, 2002. She is survived by one son, Darrell Sergent and wife Terri of Highland Heights, Indiana; two brothers, Burl Williams and wife Sandi and Ray Williams, all of Morehead, Kentucky; four nieces and nephews, Rick Williams, Anthony Williams, Danah Williams Easton, and Jeff Williams; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Marlene retired as a medical assistant after many years of service in a nursing facility in Gary, Indiana. She was a doll collector, a member of the Quilting Club, and especially enjoyed her pet dogs. She was a member of the Brinegar Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Louie Harris and Pastor Willie Sturgill officiating. Burial will follow in the Christian Cemetery. Pallbearers: Darrell Sergent, Rick Williams, Anthony Williams, Jeff Williams, Brian Easton, Marvin Kidd, and Arthur Cox. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
