Markus Logan 'Logie' Davis, age 72, of Clearfield, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017, at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville. Logie was also fondly known as Julio Rodriquez. Born February 5, 1945, in Olive Hill, he was a son of the late Luther Davis and Clara Bruster Davis. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Victoria Lynn Davis; one son, Thomas Logan Davis; the mother of his children, Betty Jo Layne Davis; three brothers, Thomas Lee , Hubert, and Harold Watt Davis; four sisters, Opal Mae Easton, Gloria Jean Lewis, and twins, Earnestine and Elmagen Davis; and a special nephew, Harlan Luther Davis. Logie is survived by four daughters, Rose Marie Bates, Mary Jo (Wendell) Stacy, and Jamie Lou Wallace, all of Morehead, and Kimberly Kay Wallace of Clearfield; one sister, Marie Whitt of Morehead; and one brother, Robert Luther Davis of Morehead; 15 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Logie had been a truck driver and lumber grader. He was a former employee of Arnold Hamilton, Harold White Lumber Company, and Homer Gregory Lumber Company. He liked to tell jokes and never saw a stranger. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bro. Bobby Day and Bro. Don Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in the Manning Chapel Cemetery in Carter County. Pallbearers: Donald Wayne Holbroook, Wendell Holbrook, Jesse Stacy, Zach Stacy, Justin Wallace, Derick Wallace. Visitation is 12 noon until 2 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
