Obituary

Markeeta Lynn Luman Hall, age 60, of Salt Lick, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at her residence.

She was born July 30, 1965, the daughter of the late Stanley Leon Luman and Nella Mae Bumgardner Luman. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Stanley Luman; one sister, Unisha Rochelle Luman; a niece, Amanda Luman; and a great-niece, Samantha Arnold Griggs.

Markeeta is survived by two sons, Robbie Moore and wife Brittany and Jonathan Parker, all of Salt Lick, and William Diaz, who was like a son; and five grandchildren.

Other survivors include one brother, Kevin Luman of Winchester; two sisters, Rhonda Lewis of Morehead and Karen Davis and husband Colie of Mt. Sterling; several nieces and nephews; and extended family including her church family and friends who will greatly miss her.

Markeeta was a member of Sharkey Baptist Church. She loved attending church, crocheting, gardening, and spending time with her family. She will always be remembered for her listening ear and motherly advice, but most of all for her unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Markeeta was a strong and faithful prayer warrior. Even through her battle with cancer, she never stopped trusting in the Lord. She continued to praise His sweet name until the very end.

Her faith, strength, and light will continue to shine and live on in those she leaves behind. Her last advice for her family and friends is found in Proverbs 3:5: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding."

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Sharkey Baptist Church with Pastor Harley Sexton, Jr. and Pastor Elijah Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Robbie Moore, Jonathan Parker, William Diaz, Frank Harris, Skyler Damron, Liam Damron, and Raymond Moore. Honorary pallbearers: Colie Davis, Kevin Luman, and Parker Arnold.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2025, at Sharkey Baptist Church, 2555 Sharkey Road, Morehead, KY 40351.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals to assist with Markeeta's funeral expenses.
