Mark Wayne Plank, age 53, of Goddard Road, Wallingford, Kentucky, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013, at Hospice Care Center in Maysville, Kentucky. Born July 6, 1959, in Warner Robins, Georgia, he was a son of the late Homer Lee and Dovie Basford Plank. Mark is survived by two sons, Travas Plank and wife Donna of Byron, Georgia, and Josh Plank of Wallingford, Kentucky; one granddaughter, Shannon 'Nicole' Plank; former wife, Angela Williams of Morehead, Kentucky; and three brothers, Tony Plank of Frenchburg, Kentucky, Jeff Plank of Hawkinsville, Georgia, and Tim Plank of Byron, Georgia. Mark served in the U.S. Air Force from 1977 until 1981 as a Medical Administrative Specialist and was the recipient of the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award and the Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon. He was a former aircraft sheet metal mechanic at Zantop in Macon, Georgia. Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2013, at the Plank Cemetery at Wallingford with Brother Gerald Saunders officiating. Visitation is after 11 a.m. Monday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
