Marianna Therese Kouri-Reed, age 63, of Heritage Place, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

She was born July 22, 1960, in Detroit, Michigan, and was the daughter of the late Raymond Joseph Kouri, Sr. and Louise Anna Knoblock Kouri.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tony Kouri and Frank Kouri, and five sisters, Vicky Kouri, Dorthy Mosier, Rita Kouri, Bernie Kouri, and Cathy Marr.

Marianna is survived by one son, Joshua (Cindy) Kouri of West Branch, Michigan; two brothers, Alfred Kouri of Taylor, Michigan, and Raymond Kouri, Jr. of Port Huron, Michigan; four sisters, Veronica Mosier of Manistee, Michigan, Christian Thumma of Carterville, Georgia, Anna Kloczko of Taylor, Michigan, and Mary Sharayko of Mesa, Arizona; three grandchildren, Kylie, Blake and Luke Kouri; several nieces and nephews, as well as other extended family and friends.

She served in the U.S. Army and was a former health care worker in Westland, Michigan.  Marianna enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, and especially loved her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

At her request, there will be no visitation, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
