Marguerita Sarah -Rita- Wylie Purdy, age 84, of Rodburn Hollow Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born August 31, 1926, in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Finnieston Wylie. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia McKail, and two brothers, Jim Wylie and Alex Wylie. Rita is survived by two sons, Jimmy (Sue) Epperhart and Danny (Becky) Purdy, all of Morehead, Kentucky; two daughters, Toni (James) Easterling of West Liberty, Kentucky, and Maureen Purdy (Scott) Easterling of Winchester, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Heather Rose, Melissa Stewart, Matthew Epperhart, Caitlyn Easterling, Abby Easterling, Caden Easterling, Sarah Purdy, and Jessica Purdy; and seven great grandchildren. Rita was a retired manager from Mr. Gatti-s and had been a manager for 20 years at Jerry-s Restaurant. A devoted mother and grandmother, Rita enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Jesus Our Savior Catholic Church. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Paul Prabell officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Cemetery. Pallbearers: James Ryan Easterling, Matthew Epperhart, Jared Stewart, Chris Adkins, Scott Easterling, Terry Powell, and Bob Hayes.
