Margaret "Margie" Fields Pennington Davidson, age 92, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at her home in Clearfield.
She was born November 12, 1930, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Willard Arthur Fields and Margaret Alene Black Fields. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert "Bert" Davidson; four sisters, Mondane Horne, Wilma Jean Pennington, Edna Mae Davis, and Charlotte Simpson; a brother, William L. Fields; and daughter-in-law, Charlotte Ann Pennington.
Mrs. Davidson is survived by a son, the Rev. Michael Pennington; a granddaughter, Andrea Hope Pennington, both of Clearfield; several nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver for six years, Roberta Curtis.
She was the owner and operator of Monogram & Quilt Cottage, Inc. in Russell, Kentucky, retired from Ashland Oil and was a former head cashier and bookkeeper for Safeway Supermarkets in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While living in Ashland, Margie and Bert were dedicated members of Westwood Enterprise Baptist Church. After moving to Morehead in August 2008, she and Elbert attended Johnson First Church of God.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Hatfield and Pastor Michael Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
