Obituary

Marcella S. Wagoner Fannin, age 76, of Rock Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at her home.

Born December 16, 1947, in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late Alvia Lee and Lula Hall Wagoner. In addition to her parents, Marcella was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Wagoner Smith, Ina Alberta Johnson, and Hildreth "Faye" Wagoner Wituszynski; three brothers, Floyd William Wagoner, Scottie Wagoner, and Richard Lee Wagoner; a half-brother, Jesse Stout; and a bonus brother, Ernest Burton.

Marcella is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Harold C. Fannin, whom she married August 20, 1967; one daughter, Elizabeth "Jane" Williams and husband Ryan of Morehead; one son, Ronald Lee "Ron" Fannin and wife Kieryn of Shelbyville; five cherished grandchildren, Kara Lyna Cooper, Bryannah Lula Rochelle Isaacs, Ryan O'Neil "Bub" Williams II, Tiarah Marie Andrea Fannin, Karsen Jelaine Fannin; and three great grandchildren, Lucas Matthew Cooper, Ciara Cooper and Karmin Cooper.

Other survivors include one brother, Ora Thomas Wagoner and wife Anna of Morehead; a very special friend, Pauline "Polly" Stamper of Morehead; special caregiver, Tammy Collins of Morehead, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Marcella's role as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother was her greatest joy.  She took great pleasure in nurturing and caring for her loved ones and her kindness extended beyond her family to anyone who crossed her path. She also enjoyed crocheting, working puzzles, and listening to gospel music. Marcella's faith was important in her life and she found great fulfillment in attending church and being a loyal member of the House of Prayer since 1999. Her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will keep her memory alive in the hearts of those who knew her.  She will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the House of Prayer (600 Whispering Oaks, Morehead, KY 40351) with Brother Glen Day and Brother Brian Adkins officiating.

Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with members of the House of Prayer serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351
