Dessie Mae Caudill Thompson, age 95, of Lyons Avenue, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2008, at the Robertson County Health Care Facility in Mt. Olivet, Kentucky. Born April 10, 1914, in Rowan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Lucy Nester Caudill. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Murvel C. Caudill on February 22, 1967, and her husband, Norman (Jiggs) Thompson on December 4, 2003. Mae retired from the Rowan County School system following a teaching career of 40 years at Haldeman, Tilden Hogge, and Morehead Elementary. Graveside services and interment will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Gary McQuain officiating.
