Luster -Andy- McKinney, 86, of Indianapolis, Indiana, a native of Rowan County, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Kindred Transitional Care in Greenfield, Indiana. Mr. McKinney was born September 4, 1925, in Cogswell, Kentucky, a son of the late Cleates and Cannie Jones McKinney. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Ray, Ralph, Robert, Russell and Lester McKinney. Andy is survived by his brother, Eugene McKinney, and sister, Maxine Cousert, both of Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. Andy resided 84 years in Farmers, Kentucky, before moving to Indianapolis, Indiana, two years ago to spend time with his brother and sister. He enjoyed visiting with his family, his local Church of God family, and his many community friends. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals. Immediately following the visitation, a funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Guy McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be J. P. McKenzie, Ronnie Stockdale, Douglas McKenzie, Joe McKenzie, Darrell McKenzie, and Forrest McKenzie. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, Kentucky.
