Obituary

Luster Lambert, age 91, of Dry Creek Road, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at the Crestview Nursing Home in Shelbyville, Kentucky. He was born November 13, 1917, in New Boston, Ohio, and was the son of the late Sam and Amanda Nickell Lambert. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Lambert, and one sister, Alta McBrayer. Luster-s wife of 67 years, Martha Jane McBrayer Lambert, passed away November 21, 2004. Surviving are two sons, Gordon Lambert and wife Ginny of Clearfield, Kentucky, Michael Lambert and wife Jan of Shelbyville, Kentucky; one daughter, Carol Tapp and husband Tom of Winchester, Kentucky; one sister, Edna Mae Caudill of Winchester, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Luster was a truck driver for Lee Clay Products Co. in Clearfield, Kentucky, for 18 years and George Transfer and Rigging in Baltimore, Maryland, for 12 years. He was of the Freewill Baptist faith. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tim Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the McBrayer Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Montgomery, Derrick Griffitts, Michael Lambert, Todd Lambert, Bert McBrayer, Jr., Bobby Caudill, and Scotty Caudill. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Friday, April 10, 2009, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, April 11, 2009, at 2 p.m. Interment: McBrayer Cemetery
