Lucille Litteral Elam, age 76, of Boone Place, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Born January 6, 1935, in Morgan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Finley and Meadie Taulbee Litteral. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Day and Wilma Clevenger. Her husband, Demaree DeLee -Jack- Elam, passed away November 14, 1995. Lucille is survived by one daughter, Myra Mayse and her husband John of Morehead, Kentucky; one brother, Ray Litteral and his wife Nancy of Scottsdale, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. Lucille retired from the Morehead Treatment Center as a youth worker. She was a member and treasurer of the Rowan County 4-H Council for more than 30 years and also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, visiting with friends, and playing with Abby, her beloved dog. She attended Farmers Christian Church. Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Bill Teegarden officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Tackett, Drew McNeil, John Brown, Shelby Lawson, Sr., Brandon Hughes, and Darryl Ledford. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, Kentucky.
