Lowell Ray Gearhart, age 49, of Bearskin Hollow, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 14, 2011, at Ridgeway Nursing & Rehab in Owingsville, Kentucky. He was born August 3, 1961, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and is the son of Bertha Ferguson Gearhart of Morehead and the late Alfred Gearhart. In addition to his mother, Ray is survived by his wife, Sandy Johnson Gearhart; one daughter, Angela Gearhart; and one grandson, Jeremiah Morales, all of Morehead; two brothers, Loren Gearhart and wife Vanessa of Globe and Richard Gearhart of Morehead. Ray was a former construction worker and stone cutter. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Don Rivers and Rev. Phillip Fraley officiating. Burial will follow in the Gearhart Cemetery in Carter County. Pallbearers will be Derrick Rivers, Allen Mabry, Mike Christian, Jamie Christian, Mike Johnson, and Jeremy Johnson.
