Loretta Hyatt Davis, age 81, of KY 801 North, Morehead, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born May 14, 1941, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Golda Eldridge Hyatt.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Bobbie Z. Davis, and two brothers, Herbert Harley Hyatt and infant Marvin Hyatt.

Loretta is survived by two sons, Rick (Dianna) Davis of Morehead and Roger (Linda) Davis of Ringos Mill; grandchildren, Melissa (Dallas) Montfort, Amanda (Jamie) Brashear, Derek (Rachael) Davis, Gene (Tosha) Johnson; and great grandchildren, Hannah, Jonah, Isaiah, Bailey, Dillon, Maeleigh, Addyson, Noah, and Brookelynn; a special friend, Sandy Henderson; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Loretta was a homemaker and a former employee of the Rowan County Employment Office and Cowden Manufacturing. She loved gardening and her family referred to her as the "Gardening Queen." She also loved caring for her pets, sewing, going to church, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered with love and greatly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Pastor Harley Sexton, Jr., and Pastor Elijah Sexton officiating.  Burial will follow at the Caudill Cemetery in Sharkey.

Pallbearers:  Dallas Montfort, Jamie Brashear, Derek Davis, Gene Johnson, Dillon Brashear, Jonah Montfort, Isaiah Montfort, and Noah Johnson.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
