Loren Randell Gilbert, age 64, of Rosedale Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019, at his residence.

Born December 2, 1954, in Darke, Ohio, he is the son of Gertrude Irene Kidd Gilbert of Morehead and the late Merl Hamilton Gilbert.

Besides his mother, Loren is survived by his wife, Gisele King Gilbert, whom he married August 18, 1973; one daughter, Stephanie Purvis and husband Russell of Salt Lick; two grandchildren, Lexan Loren Gilbert and Luke Ashton Purvis.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Elaine Clayton.

Loren retired as a foreman from Hinkle Contracting Corporation.  He enjoyed hunting, traveling, eating with family and friends at Cracker Barrel, and spoiling his dog Piper.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Gary Madden and Brother Herbert D. Lewis officiating.   Burial will follow in King Cemetery on Rosedale Road.

Visitation is 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
