Lonnie Edgar Whitt, Sr., age 65, of Vanlandingham Road, Salt Lick, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018, at his residence. He was born April 3, 1953, in West Liberty, a son of the late Dallas Whitt and Nancy Jean Wagoner Horning. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Dale Whitt and Gary Lee Whitt, and two sisters, Evelyn Charlene Whitt and Rhonda Lou Whitt. Lonnie is survived by two sons, Lonnie Whitt, Jr., of Owingsville and Shane Whitt of Brandenburg; two daughters, Barbara Whitt of Salt Lick and Sally Whitt of South Point, Ohio; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Other survivors include three brothers, Joe Whitt and Lawrence "Bub" Whitt (Kathy), all of Morehead and Paul Dean Whitt (Candy) of Sandy Hook; two sisters, Brenda Shepherd (John) of Rush and Janie Rice (Randy) of Morehead; stepfather, Robert Ray Horning of Morehead, as well as nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. Lonnie was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed all kinds of old cars, buying, selling, or collecting. He was a friendly person who never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Ricky Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Jerry Boyd, Daniel Burks, Jason Whitt, Joey Whitt, Jimmy Aregood, Josh Burks, and Ricky Stevens.
