Obituary

Lonnie Curtis Davis, age 47, of Highway 801 North, Morehead, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014, from injuries sustained in a tractor accident. He was born May 3, 1967, in Middletown, Ohio, a son of Lonnie and Bertha Williams Davis of Middletown, Ohio. Besides his parents, Curtis is survived by his wife, Shelia Kay Crum Davis, whom he married May 3, 2011; two sons, Jeremy Curtis Davis of Hazard and Trent Edward Davis of Lexington; three daughters, Morgan Leahanna Davis of Hazard, Haley Danielle Davis of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Shelby Lee Davis of Baker City, Oregon; and one granddaughter, Mahayla Davis. Other survivors include one brother, Marion Lynn Davis of Trenton, Ohio; one sister, Emma Elizabeth Davis of Louisville; other family members including nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins; and many friends. Curtis served his country in the U.S. Navy on the USS Saratoga. He was a truck driver and enjoyed camping, fishing, and working with his Uncle Rufus on his farm. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Trent Cemetery on Rainbow Road with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Legion members will also serve as pallbearers. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
