Lois Johnson Black, age 66, of Clearfield, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born April 26, 1949, in Morehead, a daughter of the late Arthur and Maude Oney Johnson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, LaTonia Renee Black; two brothers, Arthur Johnson, Jr. and Marvin Ray Johnson; and two sisters, Loretta Sellman and Wilma Jean Sammons. Lois is survived by two daughters, Shanna Black Hamm and husband Jim of Grayson and Melanie Black Cobb and husband Christopher of Mt. Sterling; four grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Hamm, Rachel Annelise Hamm, Caroline Abigail Hamm, and Bailey Christian Cobb; and the father of her children, Berlin Black, Jr. Other survivors include three brothers, Roger Johnson, Bobby Johnson, and Cliff Johnson, all of Morehead, and several nieces and nephews. Lois was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She enjoyed the outdoors, all of nature, animals, and gardening. Lois will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jim Hamm officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
