Lloyd Wallace, age 56, of Swim Drive, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011, at the U.K. Markey Cancer Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born August 6, 1954, in Frenchburg, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Elick and Sarah Hicks Wallace. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Howard, Chalmer, William, Melvin, and Junior Wallace and three sisters, Betty Jean Wallace, Bessie Webb, and Alberta Smith. Lloyd is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Ida Stamper Wallace; one son, Lloyd Joseph Wallace of Salt Lick, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Shelli Janae Wallace, Kendra Alexis Marie Riley, and Joseph Scott Wallace; and special friends, Lisa Lake and her children, Ashley and Chris Cornett. Other survivors include three brothers, Chester Wallace and wife Emma of Irvine, Kentucky, Sylvon (Pete) Wallace and wife Frances of Morehead, Kentucky, and Homer Wallace and wife Linda of Farmers, Kentucky; two sisters, Margaret Mynhier and husband Tommy of Morehead, Kentucky, and Barbara Black and husband Charles of Morgan County, Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews, cousins, other family members, and good friends. Lloyd was a former Morehead State University groundskeeper, trained and sold coon dogs, and operated a lawn care and firewood business. A great outdoorsman, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, coon hunting, deer hunting, and fishing. He was a member of the Bluebank Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jeff Fannin and Rev. Ray Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the Stamper Cemetery in Elliott County. Pallbearers: Buddy Pennington, Dean Stamper, Jerry Michael Stamper, Rocky Kidd, Lloyd Everett Wallace, Scottie Wallace, Wayne Brown, Lincoln Brown, Josh McDaniel, Randy Bentley, James Wallace, Richard Simpson, and Jeffrey Wallace.
