Linn Brown, age 58, of Little Perry Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington. Born May 7, 1960, in Morehead, he is the son of Amanda Fern White Brown of Morehead and the late Ernest H. Brown. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Gary Thomas, on June 4, 2018. In addition to his mother, Linn is survived by his wife of 29 years, Lesa Thomas Brown, whom he married October 22, 1988; a special daughter, Jessie Linn Brown at home; two brothers, Randy Brown (Debora) and Keith Brown (Billie Jo); one sister, Vanessa Brown Fannin (James); and two special nieces, Alicia Stidam (Mark) and Stefani Brown (Jordan Gilliam), all of Morehead. Other survivors include his mother-in-law, Glenda Hardin; two sisters-in law, Greta Poe (Bill) and Darlene Hall, all of Morehead; one brother-in-law, David Thomas (Kelly) of Louisville; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Linn was a heavy equipment operator for Local Union 181 in Ashland and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed being outdoors, squirrel and snake hunting, trading and caring for his squirrel dogs, watching U.K. basketball, and spending time with family. His greatest joy was his daughter Jessie-she was his life, "A Daddy's Girl." Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Bobby Day officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jerome Bowen, Donnie Stevens, Tilford Adams, Jeff Brown, David Thomas, Patrick Oney, and Kyle Taylor. Honorary pallbearers: Eddie DeHart, Donnie Oney, Dr. David Booth, Illie Weghorst, and Jerry Plank. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Jessie Linn Brown Fund, Citizens Bank, 114 West Main St., Morehead, KY 40351.
