Lindsey Thomas "Tom" Powell, age 67, of Donna Street, Clearfield, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born August 1, 1949, in Louisville, he was a son of the late Raymond T. Powell and Anna Clay White Sanders. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Ray and Wilbert Lee Powell. He is survived by his children, Anna McKinney and husband Mike of Morehead and Lindsey T. Powell of Colorado; one sister, Dena Tompkins of Danville; six grandchildren, Dalton McKinney, Brianna McKinney, Matt Northern, Cameron McFarland, Chris Northern, all of Morehead, and Emily M. Powell of Colorado; eight nieces and nephews, Nikki Felts, Michelle Gross, Christina Barber, Keith Woods, Jeffery Powell, and James Powell. He also leaves behind Diane Stevens "Nene" and husband Bobby of Clearfield who were wonderful caregivers to "Pap" in their home for the past eight years. Tom was a U.S. Army veteran and a former truck driver and carpenter. He enjoyed building and racing cars. In honoring his wishes, there is no visitation or funeral service.
