Obituary

Linda Isaacs Thomas, age 56, of Welch Road, Jeffersonville, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 1, 2009, at her residence. She was born April 11, 1953, in Richmond, Kentucky, daughter of the late Raymond Isaacs, Sr., and Sally Coyle Isaacs. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Isaacs. Linda is survived by one daughter, Jennifer (Steve) Hager of Jeffersonville, Kentucky; one son, Geoffrey (Misty) Thomas of Winchester, Kentucky; and four grandchildren, Emilee Hager, Lillie Hager, Peyton Thomas, and Clayton Thomas. Also surviving are one sister, Cheryl (William) Matthews of Berea, Kentucky; four brothers, Danny (Sheila) Isaacs, Raymond Jr. (Fe) Isaacs and Mason (Cherie) Isaacs, all of Berea, Kentucky, and Jason (Abby) Isaacs of Goleta, California; and several nieces and nephews. Linda was a graduate of Annville Institute in Jackson County, Kentucky, and earned her nursing degree from Lexington Vocational College. She was a former nurse and pharmacy technician at Mary Chiles Hospital. Linda was a member of the Montgomery County Busy Seekers Homemakers, Bath County Homemakers, Scrapbaggers Quilt Club, Sterling Ladies Investment Club and Lord-s Ladies. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and traveling with the Adult Day Out Group. She was a member of the Gateway Christian Church. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2009, at the Gateway Christian Church with Pastor Glenn Emery officiating. Interment will follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Pallbearers: Danny, Raymond, Mason, and Jason Isaacs and Steve Hager. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at the Gateway Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery County Relay for Life, c/o Toni Huff, 2120 Stafford Street, Mt.
